Is overdoing your comfort zone?

 | 2 min read

We all know that pushing yourself out of your comfort zone is a good thing, right? It’s how we learn and grow, and it’s how we achieve goals. But is there such a thing as overdoing it?

For many women, the answer is a resounding yes. We’re perfectionists and multi-taskers by nature, and it’s easy to fall into the trap of trying to do it all. We’re so focused on being the perfect wife, mom, friend, daughter, and employee that we forget to take a step back and enjoy the moment.

The truth is, overdoing your comfort zone can be detrimental to your mental and physical health. It can lead to feelings of burnout, exhaustion, and stress. It can also lead to feelings of inadequacy and low self-esteem.

So, is there a way to push yourself out of your comfort zone without going overboard? Absolutely!

Firstly, it’s important to recognize when you’re feeling overwhelmed and take a step back. Take a few deep breaths and remind yourself that you don’t have to do it all. Secondly, focus on one thing at a time and give it your full attention. This will help you stay in the present moment and avoid feeling overwhelmed.

Finally, don’t forget to laugh. Yes, pushing yourself out of your comfort zone can be daunting, but it can also be a lot of fun. Laughing releases endorphins and reduces stress, so don’t be afraid to let yourself enjoy the ride!

So, is overdoing your comfort zone a bad thing? Yes, but it’s also something that can be managed with a little bit of self-awareness and focus. Remember to take a step back, focus on one thing at a time, and don’t forget to laugh.

Today I Feel
Today I feel. I woke up late enjoying the lushness of an off-weekend day. I fell into my body and asked; what do you feel like doing? `Keep your curtains closed and stay in bed.` I did.  `Go on a journey through your past and remember the feelings as they come. No searching, no clinging.`  […]
