I had only one day to decide.
Should I stay or should I go?
Staying in Istanbul until the extreme conditions we are all in normalize or entering Bali before the borders were closed.
I decided to stay despite my craving for my home and cuddles with my cats.
I had one thing on my mind as a reference; making both options equally interesting; the potentiality of interiorization and self-care. After passing through the initial anxiety of the unknown I got truly excited about the value of this period because…
Now I can take time for a deeper self-practice
Great time to resume my yoga practice on Vishudda chakra; the centre of purity and wisdom. Work on vishudda introduces a certain isolation from external influences to keep one`s inner and outer world as pure as possible. What better time to do a yoga program during a crisis which requires semi- quarantine conditions and extreme cleanliness…?
Is there something that you always wanted to practice and had all kinds of excuses not to?
How would you like to even do a meditation practice with a long mantra for protection against the virus?
Now I can work on my online projects
I have been procrastinating for a long time around my upcoming Yoga Therapy Pill online yoga program offering accessible and effective yogic techniques for a variety of needs from physical to spiritual; enhancing the mind-body connection. `Life` happened somehow. Now life is inviting me to take action.
Now I can enjoy some stillness
Though I love my work, my friends and all the social interactions I have the privilege to enjoy it is a bliss to stay interiorised in stillness.
Having said all these there are some alluring habits that may bring heaviness, dullness to this process. I need to be mindful about:
Over-indulging in any direction; binge-watching series or enjoying the delicacies here that I miss so much when in the eat pray love vibes of Bali.
Keeping the energy flowing; making sure that I start every day with a simple energizing yoga program making my body move, my breath flowing and immune system balanced.
Maintaining a mental and emotional hygiene; avoiding excessive communication around the pandemic and letting go about any fearful thoughts around events in future that I cannot control.
Perfect time to be in the now and doing something good NOW.
